Pampered

I've been feeling down and out the past few days. So what's a girl to do? Get her nails done and her hair did of course! My toes look very pretty in pink, I took a picture but my feet aren't really photogenic so I'll just have to post my hair instead. I just got a trim (I have bangs again!) but it looks nice and clean and my head feels lighter. Which was the goal of course.

TA DA!
Taking pictures like this always succeed in making me feel dorky.

DJ LO LO

Dropping DEM BEATS.

faking it

Tonight I was the DJ for the dorm dance we threw. I usually am the car DJ, but I am quickly expanding my repertoire. The kids made sure I looked the part and lent me a bandana and some old school headphones. I love working with dancers. I loved watching them tonight. They all have watched the same you tube videos and music videos on repeat countless numbers of times that I have, therefore they know all sorts of routines that they like to break out on the dance floor. Adorable and impressive. If nothing else works out, at least I know I have a promising future as a high school winter formal dj.

Dutch Treat!

Windmill surprise

Look what Kandace and I found as we roamed around the city today! Who knew there was a windmill in SF? It was built in 1902 in a corner of Golden Gate Park. How pretty! We also went to the beach and did a little window shopping on Union Street afterwards.

Graffiti Beach
Cute (and yummy) lunch

Flower street vendors! Déjá vu anyone?

TGIF

Thank you salesman for taking our picture in these hats so we didn't have to spend $25 dollars on them. Thank you Kelly for being touristy with me today, thank you Peter for the lovely happy hour, and thank you San Francisco for a beautiful week.

San Francisco after Dark.

This really is an awesome job. We just finished a very delicious and expensive dinner at The Thirsty Bear downtown, all on the Ballet's tab. Not only was this our one and only night off during the five weeks here which made me estatic (it had been so long since I'd seen the moon!) but they chose a restaurant that served SPANISH FOOD! I was in heaven. Pallea, tortilla espanola, sangria heaven. I think my fellow chaperones and I will agree, "Ballet is Life" and that we would like "a round of tapas, churros, sandy cocktails, bowling shoes, and pins" all on the ballet. Cheers!

Sunset Spot

A perfect end to a wonderful day.

I really shouldn't complain so much.

Because today is absolutely gorgeous. So unlike the usual weather around here, which I LOVE so I hope it stays this nice. The hike to get to this beach was worth it. Now it is time to relaxxxxx.

Mariposa!

Today I went to Six Flags, Discovery Kingdom. I don't like rollercoasters, but Ineeded a day out of the dorm. I spend WAY too much time moping around there. I wanted some sunshine and amusement park food to counter my moody fog. After miraculously finding two of the students lost tickets in the parking lot (I'm such a good chaperone) Vanessa,my co-worker, and I wandered around the park. It turned out to be a combination of rides/zoo/seaworld so I had a lot of fun watching the animals even though I feel somewheat sorry for them. The butterfly atrium was by far the coolest.
although this sassy penguin was a close second =)

America!

Happy 4th of July!

Picnic time at Fort Mason! It was nice to meet up with everyone in the park by the Marina. Once again it was windy and I was freezing but it was great to see everyone and to have an extra day off. I didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked, although Marina introduced me to another section of the city I need to explore, so I was happy for that. I don't get to watch fireworks this year which is a bummer and I would like to be at the baseball game with my family, but I still had fun at our subtle celebration.

I had take a picture with the whole crew, but it mysteriously disappeared from the camera when I was trying to upload. This is cute though. Except for my hair!

Happy Birthday Sissy!

This picture is from last year when I surprised Alyss at the club on her birthday. I'm sad I can't be there this year, it is the first birthday I've missed! But I love my sissy and I hope you have a great day.
